Beach Volleyball Coaches

Justin Faester

Justin has been an active member of the KBVA and has played on the Volleyball BC Pro Tour since 2015. He is currently training to represent Canada on the FIVB and NORCECA Tour. This past summer (2019) he placed 1st place at the Parksville Pro tournament and obtained a 3rd/4th place at 2 KBVA tournaments. His favourite skills are defensive reading, attacking and spin serving. Justin has previous experience coaching adult and youth beach volleyball clinics via Volleyball BC, Side Out Beach and Seaside Volleyball Club. Justin trains out of 6pack Beach in the winter and Kitsilano Beach in the summer.

Zeid Hamedeh

Zeid moved to Vancouver two summers ago and has been an active member of the KBVA beach volleyball tour and Canada West indoor volleyball conference since. As a recent alumni from the UBC men’s volleyball program, he spent the last summer acquiring several final four finishes in the KVBA and Volleyball BC tour and is now training for the first FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour event of the year in the Cook Islands in January 2020 as well as other international events next summer. Most of his coaching experience resides back in Ontario with Madawaska Volleyball Camp, Sport Western volleyball camps and several local club teams. His favourite skills are setting and offensive transitions.

Devon Ddunn

Devon started playing beach at the age of 15 and has gone on to be a part of the beach volleyball national team, playing at FISU World University Games in Estonia as-well as play in the Youth World Championships in Portugal. When coaching he builds the fundamental techniques focusing on the important technical skills that will transfer directly to games.
